Theme: Tributes

Sometimes, you get an AMV that's just a love letter to something, a tribute. It's a bit of a niche but one I adore nonetheless. I have three different tributes here, one to anime, one to sports anime, and one to Bob Ross and art itself.

This amv has stuck with me for literal years. I heard the song at a gym once and it made me emotional by proxy. It flows really well, an impressive feat considering the technical advances across the decades. There's so much love for the medium here, from its very beginnings to the modern day. Check it out and see if you can spot the subtle little touches!

My fourth? anime ever was Haikyuu and the love of sports anime has never left me. If I ever need to explain the genre's appeal this is definitely a wonderful tribute. Of course, the choice of song doesn't hurt but the editing choices hit hard in places and I remain a sucker for synced action to the beat. It really conveys the emotions and common conflicts of these anime in a way that shows them at their best.

The joy of creation! Bob Ross remixed! This feels like a love letter to him as much as it is to art itself. The colors and atmosphere in this amv are absolutely lovely. The description mentions the joy and peace of making art and I really think they've achieved that with this amv. Ah, I feel like I want to give art another go.
